While the core competencies at SGR Germany are focused on functionalactive glazing, one of its departments “Smart ManufacturingRobotics” consists of experts in automation, robotics, Industry 4.0Industrial Analytics advising the different Business Units on how to best deploy these technologies. At SGR Provence, research projects mainly concern mineral materials, ceramicsrefractories: formulation, synthesismaterial packaging, product characterizationin-service performance, development of manufacturing processes. The main objective of the internship is to realize an automated cella robot moves an US (ultrasound) probe along products of complex shapes for remote examination. The design needs to consider aspects of safety, robustness, inspection quality, performance, investmentrunning costshuman robot interaction.
Prototypical implementation of collaborative and/or classical robot applications
Connection of e.g. sensors, grippersSmart Devices to different robots
Implementation of “data pipeline” to allow the analysis of the gathered sensor readings
Feasibility studies with technical documentation
Support the conceptionoptimization of industrial solutions in the field of automationrobotics
University studies in the fields of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, information technology, computer science, automation technologycomparable degree courses
Basic robot knowledge (e.g. kinematicsdynamics, CoBots)
Experience in robot programming
Programming knowledge (any high-level language)
Experience in control engineering, sensor technology, machine vision, CAD/CAM helpful
Fluent in spokenwritten English; German and/or French are an advantage
Structuredindependent working method
