Analyst / Junior Actuary – Insurance Pricing Casualty (m/w/d) Cologne/Germany
The Insurance Pricing Team understands the importance of collaborationa continued drive to achieve overall goals. The group is focused on managing the Insurance portfolio to ensure continued profitable growthdeveloping talent to deliver the best for AXA XL’s customers. Our everyday involvement throughout the markets we support helps us influenceshape the performance of the business.What will your essential responsibilities include?
Provide trainingeducation to underwriters for the understandingproper usage of pricing modelsmethodologies.
Assist underwriters when required for technical premiumsfor rate change estimation on individual insureds.
Participate to the development, testingdeployment of pricing models. Develop ad hoc technical pricing models when needed for complexlarge accounts and/or assist senior actuary in doing so.
Designproduce management information to assist underwritersthe management team.
Lead the monthly rate monitoring process to provide monthly actuarial metrics to underwritingactuarial managementassure accuracycredibility of the monitoring processreport.
Assist Actuarial leads with producing recommendations for the base loss ratio as part of the business/strategic planning exercises
Leverage other AXA XL capabilities, e.g. Risk Consulting, Strategic Analytics, Enterprise Business Data SolutionsAccelerate
The role will be aligned to the International Casualty book of business.We’re looking for someone who has these abilitiesskills:
2-3 years of experience in non-life insurance pricing
Successfully completed degree in mathematics, business mathematicsa comparable degree
Studying towards an actuarial qualification will be an advantage
Ability for teamworkto collaborate across teams
Strong analyticalconceptual skills
Adaptabilityversatility for innovative problem solving
Strong writtenverbal communication skills in GermanEnglish as the business language
Proficiency with Excel is required
