EU Design & Construction Project Manager M/F
Graben, Regensburg, Berlin, Bad Hersfeld, Koblenz, Leipzig, Frankfurt am Main, Düsseldorf, Elmshorn, WerneThe successful candidate will be a key part of the EU Design & Construction teamwill be responsible for the program management of new Amazon Logistics Centers (AMZL Centers) through the planning, designconstruction stages. The role will initially be focused within the German market, but will progress to other countries as the teamstructure of AMZL team grows (probably over the next 12 month)could also encompass projects within other Amazon business units. The EU D&C - AMZL Project Manager will assist with the developmentimplementation of the EU AMZL network starting with Germanythen branching out to other markets. In this role, you will analyzeevaluate different facility scenariosbuild-out designs to produce optimum solutions, in addition to supporting the standardization of technicalfacility related processessystems.
Deliverables/ Scope:

Responsible for the program management of AMZL projects in Germany with the applicationother countries at some point in the future;
Responsible for coordinating the design, planningconstruction of new AMZL facilities;
Responsible for providing project support on expansionReal Estate Construction projects within the existing EU AMZL Facilities;
Surveyanalyze facilities, developdocument procedures to auditevaluate operationsrecommend solutions;
Preparation of reports, specificationstechnical analysis to evaluatedefine the design, equipmentservice requirements
Tendernegotiate contracts with vendors working with our LegalReal Estate Departments to formally document these;
Ensure that contracts are fit for purpose, cost effectiveincorporate appropriate service level agreements;
Negotiatework closely with main contractorsdevelopers on new developments;
Manage contractorsthird partiesprovide overall site management to ensure effectivesafe working environments;
Co-ordinate the preparationsubmission of permit applications (building controlplanning applications in Germany);
Coachguide all project teams (including sub-contractors, facilitiescommissioning) throughout the full project life-cycle;
Ensure that contracted resources deliver work to meet durationquality targets, addressing the correction of any under-performance issues;
Audit contractors to check that they are competentfinanciallyaccording to the procedures fit to undertake the work on which they will be deployed;
Establishing constructive relationships with contractors, support their workhelp them to achieve higher performance levels;
Drive the generationcommunication of EU Design & Construction team’s requirements, working with the Operations, Capacity Planning,Supply Chain teams to develop business requirement solutions;
Active involvement in risk analysis activities;
Ensure adherence to all healthsafety procedureslegislation.

You should have significant project management, constructionengineering experience with a proven track record of managing both new buildsthe enhancement of existing industrial buildings.
You should have experience in the creation of specifications, management of contractstendering processesbe able to deal with matters requiring statutory consent. Experience of facilities management issues would be beneficial.
You should be qualified to at least degree level in either architecture, civil engineering, constructionsurveying.
You will have significant project management, constructionengineering experience with a proven track record of managing both new buildsthe enhancement of existing warehouse/ logistics buildings.
Fluent in EnglishGerman; knowledge of French would be an asset but not essential.
Willingness to travel frequently through Germanyat times within EU.

Facilities management experience would be beneficial
Experience of Six SigmaLean analytical techniques
MRICS / RIBA qualified
Note: This role can be based at any of our existing facilities in Germany, preferably in our HQ offices in MunichBerlin.
