Reporting to Director, HR, Labor & Employee relations Europe, the role will support the development of the laboremployee relations strategy in Germanythus support the company philosophiesgrowth of the business.
Essential DutiesResponsibilities:

Support the design, deliveryimplementation of laboremployee relations strategies which drive the global Human Resourcesbusiness strategiesinitiatives for the German locations
Provide strategic labor relations direction to the local HR colleagues
Act as the chief spokesperson for the local works council in close cooperation with the Director Labor & Employee relations
Support the German tariff negotiations
Provide directionoversite to all necessary employee relations issues in Germany to provide necessary consistencycouncil to uphold the Code of ConductWest
Develop close working relationships with local HRline organization to ensure the organization is operating with the West ethics Partner with insideoutside legal counsel to conduct necessary sensitive investigationsemployee relations cases as needed
Manage the efficient resolution of employee issues through proactive engagement with local HRline organization as appropriate
Lead by example in promoting the West organization culturedemonstrating adherence to the West code of conduct Work closely with Finance on the financial impact of labor negotiations
Act as the primary GDPR contact in Germany
Basic Qualifications:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant businessHuman Resources discipline
At least 10 years of relevant HR experience in a leadership role within an international business environment
Strong understandingexperience with German labor law, collective agreements, unionsworks councils
Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive issues
Experience in managing complex projects
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experiencemotivation to work in an international, cross-functional environment
Team player actively contributing to positive team spirit
Excellent verbalwritten communication skills
Demonstrated decision-makingobjective problem-solving skills
Works to the highest level of professionalethical standards
Self-organization, time managementprioritization
Capable of bi-lingual speakingwriting in GermanEnglish
Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in relevant businessHuman Resources disciplinedegree in German labor law
Relevant HR experience in a leadership role (strategicoperational) within an international highly regulated manufacturing environment
Travel Requirements:

5 % travel to include regionalglobal
